The purpose of this assignment is for you to write a paper that connects concepts you are learning about in BUSA 206 to a real world situation (i.e. something specific you have encountered first hand . This paper is worth 20% of your final grade. The paper should:
- Describe a specific real-life HRM challenge (from your own personal experience OR secondary sources)
- Identify and explain a concept, model or theory from the textbook that can be applied to the management challenge
- Discuss how this model or theory applies to the real-life management challenge
The concept, model or theory used for this assignment must come from Chapters 1, 2, 3 and/or 4.
The paper should be between 800 and 1200 words and formatted as per the School of Business’s guidelines. More details on the specific expectations and grading criteria for the individual assignments can be found in the rubric. An electronic copy of the assignment is to be submitted via Moodle prior to the assignment deadline (see Schedule for details).
